Nylon is added to our Nylon Pure Boar Bristle Brushes in order to help with detangling the hair and working through knots, which the boar bristles could not work through on their own. We use roughly 1 part nylon to five parts boar bristle for every bristle cluster. The boar bristles are clustered around a single nylon fiber, fitted into the pneumatic rubber cushion.
