Why Was I Charged Twice After Checking Out With Paypal?
These are not actually charges but authorizations. When an order is placed using PayPal, there is an authorization placed on the account confirming the availability of funds for the amount of the purchase. That amount is held while we process the order and isn't charged until AFTER the order is shipped. The authorization is only valid for 3 calendar days before it needs to be re-authorized. So if your order isn't shipped by the 3rd calendar day (due to weekends, holidays, etc.) the amount will need to be re-authorized when we charge it, and the original authorization will disappear off your statement within a few business days.
