Tips for Cutting According to the Lunar Hair Chart

Adopting the practice of cutting in accordance to the Lunar Hair Chart can seem like a daunting task if you are new to it. However, it’s so simple and easy to integrate. Here are some tips on getting started.

1. Get high quality tools.

We have compiled our Blunt Snip Haircutting Kit to include everything you need gear-wise to get started right away. This kit includes professional haircutting scissors, rattail comb, a printed copy of the lunar hair chart calendar and a link to our lunar hair cutting video series.

2. Evaluate your hair & pick your hair goal(s).

It’s normal to have more than one hair goal. Most of us do! However, the best approach is to focus on one goal at a time. Regardless of your goal focus, we recommend rotating in the root work goal to truly optimize your hair growth potential. For example, if your hair goal is thickening, cut your hair the thickening dates with the exception of every third month. On that third month, cutting on a Root Work date is best.

3. Write your desired cut dates down in your planner/calendar.

This will set you up for success so that you don’t miss your lunar hair dates. Also, doing this will ensure that your hair cuts coincide with your actual hair goals, versus picking random dates and perhaps cutting more or less often than you mean to. Essentially, making the effort to write it down will optimize your consistency & efficacy.
