Emerald Kapha Elixir
Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest forms of holistic medicine and is based on the idea that the world is made up of five elements: space (ether), water, earth, fire, and air. These elements combine into 3 Doshas, or life forces.
Our Emerald Elixir represents the Dosha: Kapha, which is associated with the elements earth and water.
This elixir cools the hair and scalp to intensify reconstruction and restoration. This elixir is ideal for people with normal scalps looking to reduce hair fall and improve their current hair health.
Our favorite ingredient: Bhringaraj Oil - reduces hair fall, promotes hair growth, and combats premature graying of hair.
Directions for use
Our specialty elixirs are restorative hair oils that address scalp health issues and encourage new hair growth. The hair oils are scalp treatments, and not meant to be applied to all of your hair at once; a little goes a long way.
On its own: Start with a scalp massage using your fingertips or our Scalp Massager and Invigorator. After your massage, shake the bottle and then dispense 2-3 pumps of Emerald Kapha Elixir onto your fingertips and apply to hairline and thinning areas 2-4 hours before you plan to shampoo.
For a more intense treatment, apply 1-3 hours before bedtime (make sure to cover your pillow or use a nightcap to protect against oil staining if you are leaving the elixir in your hair overnight). In the morning, brush your hair with a natural boar bristle brush and wash or style as usual.
Use as a series:
Apply one of the elixirs once a day per the instructions above for a week, and then switch to the next elixir or take a rest week using the rotation below:
Week 1: Amber Elixir (Lengthen)
Week 2: Emerald Elixir (Thicken)
Week 3: Ruby Elixir (Strengthen)
Week 4: Rest/Zen Detox treatment
Use individually:
If you’re only using one of the elixirs, follow the same protocol; use an elixir every day for 3 weeks, and then on the 4th week do a zen detox scalp treatment and allow your scalp to rest. Repeat protocol until elixir is gone.

In conjunction with the lunar hair chart: Best used in the spring, summer, and fall following the "thicken" goal.
Normally, you only need a couple drops of elixir at a time, but in this case, use a cotton ball to apply the elixir generously to your scalp right before you are about to do or receive your lunar haircut—this much elixir should only be used with the Lunar Cut.
The elixir needs to be in your hair for at least 24 hours, so do not shampoo after your haircut. Let it settle in overnight. If you have the luxury of allowing your hair to remain oily, try keeping it in for 48 hours for the ultimate growth boost!
